AN UPDATE ON GUN CONTROL

In the wake of the high school shooting in Parkland, FL the country has become even more divided on the issue of gun control. Opponents of tougher laws claim any restriction to gun ownership is an infringement on the 2nd Amendment while critics claim the 2d Amendment is outdated and not intended to allow private citizens to arm themselves in the same manner as the military. In order to reach a solution, lawmakers have been engaged in talks almost around the clock. Unfortunately, while the country waits for an answer the President has yet to outline his plan. For now, President Trump has agreed to review of background check requirements and a bill that would address security concerns at schools.
