More and more employers are starting to look at social media when hiring and a Facebook or Instagram search is a common part of many employers’ background checks. This can be problematic if you have questionable content on your pages, even if it has been deleted. Most posts never really go away, and the ability of a potential employer to check your social media is becoming a controversial topic. In some instances a potential employee may have legal action against an employer if a job offer was not made based off of information found on social media.
