CUTTING DOWN ON THE HIGH COST OF COLLEGE

We all know how expensive it is to go to college, and that many students graduate with large student loans to repay. But, there are ways to cut college expenses; you just have to know where to look. One way is to apply for grants instead of loans, and to look for scholarship opportunities. These methods are proven, but there are typically a lot of people competing for the same dollars so it becomes necessary to think outside of the box. One, way to earn college credits without paying a fortune is to enroll in courses while still in high school. Referred to as concurrent enrollment, taking both high school and college classes at the same time is a great way to get college credit before graduating from high school. Certain requirements must be met, but for those that qualify the classes can cost less, resulting in significant savings towards the number of hours needed to obtain a college degree.
