DRILLING RIG CLAIMS LIVES OF FIVE OKLAHOMANS

A drilling rig explosion in Pittsburg County claimed five lives late in January. The Oklahoma Corporation Commission is investigating the accident, and looking for answers as to why the rig exploded. Initial reports show there was a release of gas that caused the fire and explosion, and that workers attempted to shut down the release but were unable to do so. Our thoughts are with the families of those lost during this difficult time, and as authorities continue to seek answers and implement measures to prevent future accidents.
