HOW WOULD YOU RATE THE OLYMPICS?

Official Olympic competition started Thursday February 8th, with the Opening Ceremonies taking place the next evening. The games are scheduled to run through February 25, when the world can tune in to the Closing Ceremony in PyeongChang for a final look at the 2018 Winter Games. The competition started off with figure skating, and in the opening night American favorites did well, and not as well as expected. Soon into the games a teenager from Colorado got the gold in a snowboarding event, and thus far the Olympic spirit is evident on the faces of competitors and spectators alike. At just about the half-way point, what do you think? Are these Olympic Games living up to the hype, have there been any surprises, or is the competition as expected? However you answer these questions it is always nice to see athletes from all over the globe come together in unity, and for a few brief weeks the world is given a glimpse into what it takes to make a champion and this gives us all hope for the future.
