LEGAL TIP OF THE WEEK: LEFT LANE LIMIT LAW IS COMING SOON, BE PREPARED!

In just a few short months Oklahoma drivers will no longer be able to hang out in the left lane when driving on certain roads. In November a new law will be put in place that limits the time a driver can spend in the left lane. If you violate the new rules, you can be ticketed. What you need to know is that you can still use the left lane for passing, but you have to do so within the posted speed limit. This is different from how the law currently reads, which lets drivers use the left lane for regular driving as long as they are not impeding traffic. We touched on this topic a few weeks ago, but because it might be hard to understand what is allowed and what it not, we want to bring it to you again so you are prepared.
