RECENT CHANGES HAVEN’T SAVED AS MUCH AS REPORTED AT LOCAL JAILS

Several state questions were recently passed, most notably medical marijuana. As with the medical marijuana questions, other issues are also not as cut and dry as they appear at first glance. Specifically, reclassification of certain crimes has not saved local jails the amount of money projected, because not every variable was examined.
