THE PRICE OF FLYING KEEPS GOING UP

It used to be that you could book a flight and check your luggage without having to fork over another few hundred dollars. But those days seem to be disappearing as yet another airline has joined those that charge for checked bags. Delta now plans to charge $30 per bag and reports indicate the charges are meant to help offset rising fuel prices. With the cost of flying on the rise, it might be a good idea to book a “staycation”, or make travel plans that don’t require airfare. There are plenty of good spots around the state, and even in the states touching Oklahoma’s borders, that offer entertainment and are a good vacation value.
