UNDERSTANDING OKLAHOMA’S NEW LIQUOR LAWS

When the new liquor laws go into effect it will be helpful to know what this means for consumers. One change is that high strength beer and wine will be available at grocery stores, meaning one less stop on the way home when grabbing something to whip up for dinner. For businesses, new permits will be needed, along with some new merchandise. Customers will now be able to buy things like ice and bottle openers at a liquor store, but only so long as these types of items are not more than 20% of the store’s monthly sales. So if you find yourself needing a wine opener, you might be able to get that with your bottle of wine, but you might not.
