WANT TO KNOW THE OHP PURSUIT POLICY?

It is not secret that a high speed police chase can end tragically. In 2017 reports show eight fatalities from OHP pursuit, in a 14 month span. This statistic prompted a Tulsa newspaper to make a request for the OHP’s pursuit policy, to compare it with what other states do. Unfortunately the policy was not made available, but the newspaper was able to obtain policies from 36 other states. Knowing the policy helps victims’ families take action when possible, but without the information it is hard to know what to do if you lose a loved one in these circumstances.
