AN UPDATE ON THE LAS VEGAS SHOOTING

October may seem more than just a few months ago, but that’s all it was when the worst mass shooting in America history happened. As concertgoers at a popular venue in Las Vegas settled in for a night of country music, shots rang out from a nearby hotel/casino. In the end, close to 60 people lost their lives. As authorities search for a motive, one place they look is to medical records and reports. In this regard, the autopsy on the shooter recently came in, and it revealed he had anti-anxiety drugs in his system. That said, the police and investigators are still at a loss as to why the shooter opened fire, and many questions still remain unanswered. One thing is for certain though, the debate on gun control and ownership has reached a fever pitch, and legislators continue to scramble to find a political solution. Until that time, our hearts and thoughts are with the victims and their families.
