EDMOND STUDENTS HEAD BACK TO SCHOOL WITHOUT USE OF CELL PHONES

Edmond Public Schools begin August 16, and when classes resume students will not be allowed to use their cell phones in class. The District implemented the policy, effective this school year, and the reason may be that this is the first year all children in middle and high school will be given a Chromebook laptop. The Chromebook will have internet access, so use of a phone should not be necessary for school related purposes. And as always, use of a cell phone during class time for non-school purposes is prohibited. Students may need some time to adjust to the change, but with the help and guidance of teachers and parents together the new policy could lead to a great new academic year!
