LAKE HEFNER SHOOTING: TOO CLOSE TO HOME

After last week’s school shooting in Texas, we have all been a bit on edge but thankful that type of violence has not touched us here at home too closely. That all changed in the blink of an eye last night, when a shooter opened fire at the Louie’s restaurant at Lake Hefner. Thanks to some quick thinking of those on the scene (it has been reported a doctor was dining at the time, as well as the private citizen with a conceal and carry license who neutralized the shooter), the injuries were not life threatening. This incident has shaken our community, and we continue to offer our thoughts and prayers to all involved.
