LEGAL TIP OF THE WEEK
THE FINE FOR POSSESSION IS NOW LOWER
Now that State Question 788 has passed and is in place, the fine for possession of marijuana is not as large. Possession of up to an ounce of marijuana without a medical card is now lower, and so is the amount of jail time that used to be attached to this “crime”. But the penalties for larger amounts have remained the same. What all of this boils down to is that if you are charged with possession, you need to talk it over with a knowledgeable attorney. Our practice is focused on representing people charged with crimes, and we work with you to keep you out of jail. If you have been arrested on possession of marijuana case, have been given a DUI, or have any other criminal charge pending, let us help you.
