THE FINE FOR POSSESSION IS NOW LOWER

Now that State Question 788 has passed and is in place, the fine for possession of marijuana is not as large. Possession of up to an ounce of marijuana without a medical card is now lower, and so is the amount of jail time that used to be attached to this “crime”. But the penalties for larger amounts have remained the same. What all of this boils down to is that if you are charged with possession, you need to talk it over with a knowledgeable attorney.
