WHAT IS IN THE “STEP UP OKLAHOMA” PLAN?

Elected officials are the backbone of any government, and are the ones responsible for proposing and implementing change. But many times true change can only come about when the community is also involved. The Step Up Oklahoma Plan sees local business and civic leaders acting with legislators to fix the problems many feel matter the most. Some of the highlights of the plan include giving teachers a much needed raise, creating ways to avoid budget shortfalls, revising the process for filling judicial vacancies at the State Supreme Court, and increasing revenue for the State. Aside from bringing in support from local business and civic leaders, former Governors of the State are also onboard with the premise behind the Step Up plan.
