ANOTHER CHANGE COMING TO FACEBOOK

If you are a regular on social media, and especially on Facebook, you are no stranger to signing on and seeing a new format. It seems like the social media giant is always trying to make the site more user friendly, but in so doing causes a lot of confusion among members. And with the increase in ads scrolling across your feed, some of which have been reported as questionable, it has become important to identify which ads are legitimate and which ads are nothing more than political propaganda. Reports of Russian interference with the last Presidential election has reportedly caused Facebook to resort to an ages old technique of verification; snail mail. In the very near future buyers of political ads will be sent a postcard via US mail, and required to enter an authorization code on Facebook before the purchase can be complete. The hope is that this procedure will crack down on interference, and that ads will only be bought by those with an interest in US politics.
