GOOGLE PICKS OKLAHOMA CITY FOR CONTEST

Search engine giant Google has chosen Oklahoma City for its “Google Impact Challenge”. The contest will award $50,000.00 to four different to four different non-profits in town, as encouragement to continue their contributions to the community. Many of the entries provide much needed services in the community, especially in the area of criminal reform. Most criminal defendants find it hard to become employed after completing a jail term or when crimes show up on their criminal history, but certain nonprofit organizations in town give these citizens a job and a chance. However, funding can be lacking and that makes it difficult to continue these efforts at times. For those companies that show innovation and ingenuity, Google will award the top prize of $50,000.00.
