HOW LONG WILL THE 1-235/1-40 CONSTRUCTION TAKE

At the end of March work began on one of the busiest roadways in the State. The 1-235/I-40 interchange is getting a major facelift. The work zone is about 2 miles long and construction on the project is going to take some time. The project will make getting around this congested part of town easier when all is said and done, but for now it is a good idea to find alternate routes if this is your normal commute. Other projects around the area are also underway, making it even more difficult to navigate the area. The project is part of a plan to widen I-35 as well as reconstructing certain ramps on and off of the Broadway Extension. Overall these construction projects have been rolling out in phases and we can’t wait for the end result! Remember, speed limits are usually lower in construction zone, so please take special care to watch how fast you are driving. But if you are given a ticket, call us for help.
