OPIOID LAWSUIT NOT A FEDERAL ISSUE

A lawsuit by the State of Oklahoma, against certain makers of opioids has found its way back to the Courthouse. The matter had been moved to Federal Court, but a Federal Judge found that the case did not really raise any issues of federal law, and has sent the case back down to the State Court. One of the issues in the case is whether opioid manufacturers engaged in marketing efforts that deceived users to the point of using the drug to the point of addiction or death.
