THE PROBLEM WITH OVERCROWDED JAILS

We all know the prisons and jails in Oklahoma are overpopulated. The problem, in part, is due to a system that is in need of reform. Not that there has not been reform to the criminal justice system already, but there is still work to be done. Not only will making changes help criminal defendants when their day in Court comes, but it will also help lessen the need for more space to house inmates. When there are fewer defendants in jail families also benefit because parents are at home with their kids instead of behind bars. Studies show far too many Oklahoma children have at least one parent in prison, which puts a strain on other family members and does little to help rehabilitate those in need. If you have been charged with a crime, let us help. We know what to do to minimize the impact an arrest can have on you – and on your family.
