WHAT DOES REGULATION OF MEDICAL MARIJUANA LOOK LIKE?
One of the most pressing issues on the State legislature is how to implement laws regulating medical marijuana. Last November the voters passed State Question 780, making it legal to use marijuana for medicinal purposes. In the aftermath there were a lot of questions about regulations and licensing requirements. Now that the legislature is officially in session, many of the issues from 2018 must be addressed. One important question is what power cities have to pass local laws and ordinances, and how those proposals fit in with the State’s scheme.
